Who wrote this? Wait… I wrote this book?”

Laugh if you want, but I was seriously that blown away by Jim Cobb’s review of my post-apocalyptic novel, THE WELLER. I’ve been so rattled by nerves lately, both book-related and not, that I haven’t really had time to sit back and appreciate what I’ve accomplished with this book.

The positive response so far has been overwhelming. Thank you to everyone who has bought the book so far. And to those of you who haven’t picked up your copy yet, I’ll let Mr. Cobb tell you what you’re missing:

This was overheard during a phone conversation between my best friend, Gabe Hamilton, and myself just a few minutes ago:

Adam: (answers phone) Mike’s Meat! You can beat the price, but you can’t beat Mike’s Meat!

Gabe: Oh, you wanna bet I can’t?

Adam: Would you like Mike’s Special Sauce with Mike’s Meat today, sir?

Gabe: Depends on the duration of the beating.

Adam: (laughs) Eww.

Gabe: What? I meant with a baseball bat.

Adam: Wow… we have issues.

Gabe: I know, right? Your mind automatically goes to sex. Mine goes to mob violence. I’m not sure which one of us is more fucked in the head.
