I was just informed by one of my Tang Soo Do instructors that Grandmaster Jae C. Shin (9th Dan), President of the World Tang Soo Do Association passed away in his sleep on Monday July 9, 2012.
I’d met Grandmaster Shin at least four times that I can remember, and he was always a very kind and inspiring man, not to mention hilarious when he got into a joking mood.
While this is a sad day for me and my family, I take comfort in the knowledge that Grandmaster Shin passed peacefully and that he is now among the great masters that have come and gone before him. He will be missed, but certainly never forgotten.
