I’ve just received my schedule for ICON 37. The con is taking place November 2-4 at the Cedar Rapids Marriott in (you guessed it) Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The schedule is, of course, subject to change, as most con schedules are.

Programming:

Martial Arts for Writers (Saturday, 10:00 AM) How can you spruce up your story or screenplay with a little fight scene? Presenters will dispel some of the myths and inaccuracies surrounding martial arts and related weaponry. Find out what the industry does that totally doesn’t work that way. (with Jim C. Hines and Gabe Hamilton)

Surviving the End: Play to Win! (Saturday, 1:00 PM) The bombs have fallen… now what? Putting together an Emergency Survival Kit and other important skills. Author Adam J. Whitlatch discusses strategies to survive after civilization falls. Audience Participation! Prizes! Come compete to win the coveted Golden Spork!
